Transfer out from cdp and into sc?

Based on a frustrating conversation I just had with SC CS in branch they can only grant PB based on cash. Existing assets held in a SC trading account do not count.

Can park your shares with SC for the 200k AUM requirement

Sent from using GAGT

Yes 200K AUM will get you the PB status with SCB but the service sucks. Was told there is a 'grace period' of 3 months when the account (mine was dormant previously) was upgraded to a PB account and until then no contact from my RM nor any communication at all of who my RM is nor her contacts. Imagine I have to approach the bank personally just to get the contact details of my RM.

why so contradicting? :s11: think their staff not trained well or something?

Possibly, but the problem is that bank staff do not have visibility of your SC Securities Trading Account. The CS did their best, and I even logged in with my account on their workstation to show them my balance to no avail, they just have to follow process. They did state that you do not need to maintain the $200K cash balance to keep PB, so you can rotate to cash and back into stocks if that made sense to you, though I think the transactions costs of that would wipe out PB's meagre benefits.

What's the interest rate they offer?

eg uob high yield rate for existing customers with 200k fresh funds are 1.65% without lock in.

dbs rate like under 0.2%

so you can do the maths on how much interest you are forgoing for 6 months with dbs

1.65%?? Is forever for UOB wealth? Or just 3 months??
