no best of both worlds

i will put $200k for welcome gift in hsbc premier for high yield, combine with hsbc rev/plat/premier master for free luggage, then park $200k portfolio in scb for VI PP unlimited for lounge access

citigold and uob yield is too low, maybe can just apply citi premiermiles for 2 access a year

Thanks Arctician! Did some more calculations & have to decide between HSBC Premier & Citigold now. UOB not worth it & SC wont give me premier status as already a Bonusaver customer there.

Can anyone please enlighten what HSBC's standard rate of interest is on the Premier account (once the promo rate ends on 31 Dec 2017)? Any chances of promo rate continuing after that or do they launch any promo rates on TD's usually?

I think the sweetspot for CitiGold is 3mths (min holding period for getting welcome reward & referral) or 12 mths (for the 1k loyalty bonus)

need a combination of normal savings + maxigain account

after 12mths, probably best to downgrade to priority to max returns

if interested, I can intro my Citigold Acq Manager. he can get you the best deal available

i have not used any of their other service / privileges, so cant comment there

Thanks Oceanicmanta! Regarding Citigold, I hope they allow to open the maxigain savings account immediately along with the Citigold (low interest) savings account. Citibank welcome reward is $800 for $250K while HSBC Premier is only $400. Also, the HSBC promo rate of interest is only on the additional top up amount (up to $100K) and not on the first $200K. So, some more calculations to do before I request for a referral for Citibank or HSBC.

i agree with all that you said! unfortunately i only look at welcome rewards and interest yield. i can overlook all e minor inconvenience if returns are good.
