Just want to check with forumers here, let say I had register for a degree course sometime in October and yesterday the consultant call up and informed that the course will discontinued and refer me to another degree, same degree course but different university.

I'm just curious is this is normal? Their website still has the degree course posted which intake is in March. New degree course is on May. Im suspecting the consultant transfering the new student to new course maybe just wanna promote it.

Any thoughts?

PEI website don't always update, so it is possible cause a lot of partner universities are withdrawing out from Singapore PEIs these days.

End day, you must decide if you want to take up degree from different university from the same PEI or search for a new course from different PEI.

1) Most PEIs started with a few lousy ranking or new setup partner universities. As time go by, these universities get better reputation such as higher ranking or accreditation like Triple accreditation (or Triple Crown accreditation) for business school. They may want to end their relationship in order not to let PEIs damage their reputation (maybe university have high expectation for student, school admin or even profit).

2) Today we have a lot of new universities and more people became local graduates. Some more important information are easier to get like distance learning engineering degree not recognized by PEB sg. All these contribute to lesser applicants to PEIs which does not make much profit for universities to partner with PEIs to do a lot of things like 2nd/3rd marker, shared resources, approving exam paper and etc.

Any idea why?
