The 7870 itself at stock is alr 1GHz, there's nothing special about "GHz edition" for the 7870. Performance to the 7950 is NOT close. Only during launch period it was close due to unoptimised drivers

Okay la, maybe not that close exaggerated abit.... Just a tier lower difference anyway, not really big difference in these low tier cards. I do not know if the review is done during launch period.

If I needed a GPU I would have hoot the 7950 already.

Price is very tempting.

btw the 7870 is a ghz edition , its performance is close to the normal 7950.. i would get the 7870, just few frame lesser but with better cooling.

Not much of a overclocking headroom left for that HD 7870. HD 7950 got much higher headroom to pull performance even further ahead.
