Convert Schuko plug to 3-pin plug

Hi guys, my mom bought an oven online and it came with a Schuko plug. Heard it’s unsafe as the oven is not grounded in the even if faulty current flow.

Is there any safe way to go about it? Like is it possible to cut the plug and fit a 3-pin plug into it?

Should be able to. Cut off the plug and connect the wires accordingly. Important: Safety: You must connect the right wires to the pins in the UK plug. Make sure the plug and fuse has the proper current rating. If you are not familiar with such stuff, get someone to do it. Safety first.

Incorrect, a Schuko has ground pin. But many people act pro and anyhow use.

When u cut the cable u will see the brown blue green/yellow, just wire it as you would with a UK plug.

No need cut wire, just use Schuko to UK adapter. I use this for my German-plugged vacuum cleaner

It is better to connect to a proper plug.

Do not use adaptor, because it is an oven. most likely the adaptor will be overheated.

adaptor is suitable for low power devices.

alternative is to change the wall plate to if not constant removal of plug
