Hello experts, not sure if I should do that or just improve my current build.

More about my current build. My rig is 6 years old, and was built by fortran. Since then I have progressively upgraded it with a new mobo, graphic card, ssd and 2nd hand rams last yr.

This year, I reformatted my com and nstalled Win 10. But I noticed my computer is not as powerful as before.

1) When I play Football Manager 2016, there was a freeze at the start of the launch before the game continued loading.

2) If i leave my com on through the night to torrent, I can no longer watch videos which i downloaded as it will either be jerky for the first 1 min or freeze before continuing. Also i cant fast forward or backward with ease. I will have to restart my pc to be able to watch videos normally.

3) Fb or youtube videos will go dark at the beginning when i click 'play' on them. After a while it will be normal.

Not sure if it's software glitch or Win 10 prob or processor's age.

Can anyone pls advise?

TIA.

I got a fewling its your hdd wanna kaput already. I suggest u backup all your stuff.

Btw its not wise to admit that u pirate games via torrenting online. BSA can come after u by these simple statement.

Your CPU is fine. You might want to check your HDDs as suggested earlier.

Either ssd spoil liao or hdd spoil liao.
Remove hdd and test if problem persist.
If yes that means ssd spoil liao.

iirc there was a major slow read issue with 840 evo for "older" files on the ssd. there was a band-aid type of fix, can u check the web if ur fw needs updating?

As long as your SSD/HDD have errors, it's only a matter of time your files get corrupted and system performance degraded.

Time to replace before it cause further damage.

All your issues (videos, gaming) seems related to graphic card. I am guessing could it be graphic card driver issue (compatibility with windows 10?) especially you are actually running those ok under win8.1

pros, is it possible it's a swap file issue? like swap file on ssd will cause problems earlier?
for HDD, i'd delete the swap file on it and set to zero in windows control panel, reset system, defrag the hdd, and finally set back the swap file.
*now with 16GB ram, i set swap file as zero.
for SSD, i just know cannot and dont need defrag. and also the 4k alignment and TRIM thingy can cause performance issue.

So are all of you agreeable that the problems i am experiencing could be....

1)ssd?

2)graphic card? I am not sure if it's even the case as Radeon has always prompt me to update automatically

Also any recommendation for anyone to help fix these issues, apart from bringing it down to sim lim please.

thanks.

Maybe conflicting driver issues? Try to install the most updated drivers and see if it helps?
