Laptop cooler like pointless. If scared your laptop overheating, use some programs like HWMonitor to check laptop components temperature. When idle/light usage it shouldn't reach 60-80 degrees Celcius. If reach that temperature, it's time to check the internal fan for cleaning or change the thermal paste. Some laptop might blasting hot air too much when playing heavy games but if the laptop never auto shutdown, it should be fine.

I'm using the ergostand mini, or was it the U stand mini. Reviews show that coolers do drop your temp down 5% or more, not that great la, but hey, its my USB hub and still cools my lappy as it elevates it off the flat surface too hence taking in more air.

It gives me just a little bit of peace of mind. and i dont even game much! heh.

to a certain extent it's useful. some laptops have poor ventilation designs. when the laptop is placed on a flat table surface, heat just doesn't get dissipated. a cooler would be useful in this instance.

i'm using a notepal i100. challenger carries them and they have member discounts on those. not a bad buy.

Some laptops like alienware suck air from under the laptop. They do have awesome cooling already but a laptop cooler which can elevate the laptop can drop gpu temps by 5-7 degrees. If you have a laptop that sucks air from bottom, Its better you invest in a cooler if you gonna play on bed. My gtx680m overclocked never go past 65 degrees on cooler master ergostand cooler.

Some laptop like msi gt60 or 70 suck air from on top of the keyboard so you dun really need a cooler.
