Cooler Master V850 Fan noise

Hi,

My CM V850 ATX3.0 SFX fan never stop spinning even when PC in idle. Is it temp sensor faulty?
Anyone has same issue? PSU about 6mth old only

cm does not advertise fan stop on the v850 sfx product website, though anandtech does note that such claims were there initially. most units with fan stop also come with an additional button to trigger this fan stop functionality (eg eco mode, hybrid mode), but this does not appear present on the v850 sfx either.

thanks, just realised that. but fan noise kindly loud.

no.

SFX psu's are generally noisier. But this model is noisier than the rest of the SFX lineups. The fan profile also quite steep as u go up in wattage.

The generally quieter models are the silverstone 850R and the corsair SFX psus.

yeah, i used to Corsair SFX, so a bit not used to the noise for CM SFX.

Not sure if this applies to your case but saw this in a reddit post. See the bottom replies about the fan curve.

Mine is the newer at atx3.0 model. Unlike the older model with really loud noise, mine is not that bad, just that it is still loud. But I still find it loud.

Considering replacing it with Corsair sfx
