[Cooling] Com sudden rise in Temps

Have been running a 6700k at 4.6, 1.3v for the past 6 months.

initially at idle my temps were running at 38-45 degrees. Recently com keep hanging when i launch coretemp and hangs even without using core temp. Idle temps are now at 50-60, spiking to 80+ 90 if i run intensive tasks (chrome lol)

was wondering if there is a problem with my h100i v2. Pump seems to be working as per corsair link. Have just reseated the cooler last night but problem still here.

any ideas?

Maybe your cooler leaked and empty? Are there still water inside the reservoir? Also maybe you wanna paste new thermal paste or thermal pad.

no visible leaks, just redone all the thermal paste. One side of the radiator where the pipes are is quite hot, the other side of the radiator is completely cool

Try without corsair link, full pump speed from BIOS.

No issues with direct CPU_OPT pump RPM control over BIOS.

If the header supplying power to the pump is not on 100% if PWM, the pump will not work if RPM % is too low. If you want to use corsair link, you probably have to BIOS set the header to flat 100% before using corsair link override.

But my recommendation is (what I use)
1. Dedicate a CPU_Fan header for rad fan direct control.
2. Dedicate pump to CPU_OPT direct control. If there's no CPU_OPT, maybe Sys_fan flat 100%.
(all direct without daisy chaining)
3. BIOS level control with no corsair link installed to eliminate the possibility of software interference.

I’m using dedicated water pump header, so full 12v all the time. I suspect pump not working, since only one part of the radiator is hot

If is full 12v and without corsair link also same maybe pump failure I guess. The coolant should be moving around enough such that the rad don't have such a discerning temperature difference.

At 1.32V, 6700k, single GT2150 PWM fan, I'm at low to mid 70c on prime95 or encoding loop torture test. Real world under 40+C max with some spikes. H80i GT

h110i doesn't have power from molex/sata

it is probably via usb/fan header

The USB header is for RPM software control and LED only. I operate my H80i GT without that extra micro USB clutter after setting LED for the first time. It receives power purely from fan headers.
