The current cord blood application shows it is most unlikely that the donor should ever need his own cord blood unit as most transplant physicians may not feel that the patient’s own cord blood unit is the best choice. This is because it may already carry the genetic abnormality that led to the blood or immune system failure or cancer in the first place. However, we are unsure of the future development of the application of cord blood.

public cord bank is free

Public cord bank is more a donation centre of cord blood / tissues for public use, so you have no sole right to your kid's blood/tissue. If not, it make no sense for parents who want to pay to store their kids' blood / tissues.

it makes no sense for the parents who dun read up.

why will anyone want their children to be limited to only his/her own cord blood?
furthermore, with the current science... most patients dun use their own cord blood. pls read my comments above.

for stats, go to public cord bank website.

number one market leader in singapore
and top 3 market leader in hk.
so much top leadership but only make 8million profit.
does that makes sense?

but given the low vol for public to get.
shld be easy to corner and push the stock up.

I think the stock is over priced lei... 0.495...

Property stock also dun have such price... moreover, the income is limited by the number of babies...

Plus need to maintain storage facilities...

Plus single source of income... revenue from storage of cord blood...

stock prices are not so simple...

look at artivision... Q4 revenue less than 100k... and is in NTL position... yet the share is at 26c..

This is one post which I consider as understand the business. I am not familiar with the terms that you use but I like your knowledge on cord blood and I think this is important before you think of investing in the company.

The banks are earning fat and easy money from the application fees!
