I am very dumb. Cannot figure this out myself. :vijayadmin:

I am gunning for a computer science minor.

One of the requirements for a CS minor is CS1010 or CS1010E.

I have taken IT1006.

According to IT1006's course information, CS1010 and CS1010E are preclusions.

Question: Can I take CS1010E/CS1010 this semester without losing my modular credits for taking IT1006?

CS1010E's course information says that IT1006's students are not precluded from taking it.

In need of help

hi can someone pls help? i m bidding for my module, now at round 1c, i alr have 16MCs accumulated from my existing modules. so is it a must to bid another one? thanks alot i m really a freshie who is super confused of dealing w the new system. and is it normal that its tough to find a module that can fit into my timetable? cos every timing for the lecture of diff mods seem to clash w my classes which makes my selection even harder...

Hi are you from engin? :s13: I guess that's the problem of getting preallocated modules. The norm for a student is 20 MCs per sem!

Hello. I have some questions to ask.

I am trying to bid for a module in round 1C but couldn't find the module in CORS. According to this --> Modules Available for Lecture Bidding Report , under the student type, it wrote 'Reserved for [G] in later round' and 'Returning Students [P]'. Does this mean that I can bid in the later round?

Also, I would like to ask if I can change my pre-allocated tutorial slot as I am trying to bid for a module which clash with 1 tutorial.

Thanks.

yes i m from engineering. i m fretting over the modules to choose. i checked all modules and almost all clash.. so i have to get a module this sem no matter what right? then in this case, should i make my selection now or should i push it to the later rounds?? also, when i click on the module at my module management, under validation results, sometimes i see a few rows, what does that mean? like i saw one row with more vacancies with more bidders and another with less vacancies and zero bidders.
thanks for any help :)

u cannot bid if u are a new student when it says Reserved for G or Returning student P, have to wait until 2A

yes mech eng. what do u think of the module nature and society GE2221?

hi sorry for the late reply.
i believe you can follow this recommended schedule:

schedule

Pls note that it is just a recommendation (i.e. you can follow your own timetable). Rule of thumb though, it is best that you take the core modules based on the timetable so you can advance to the next year smoothly :s13:

Core modules and what not can be found here Program Structure

i cleared all my ULRs first (ss, 2 gem, 2 breadth over the first 4 sems, 2 years) so that i can have more flexibility with my UEMs (cos in mech engin, we can take other fac mods or our TEs as UEM) :D

oh, and try to clear ES1531 within the first year cos if you take it in other years, the points needed will be crazy :s22:

for the non-core modules that you are taking, all i can say is just take what you like/fits your time table better etc. cos different people have different interests.

to find out more info about the module you can:
1) log in to ivle -> search button at the top right hand corner -> key in the module code. the result will show you the modules.

good luck and welcome to nus!:s12:

Hi everyone!

I have some burning questions to ask regarding bidding of modules for FOS in NUS.
In year one, we will be preallocated two core LSM modules in the first semester, followed by preallocation of another two LSM core modules in the second semester.

However if I would like to overload, is there anyway I can request for all 4 level 1000 Core to be allocated to me in sem 1. LSM1101/2/3/4

I tried looking up the bid points in CORS archive, but I can't seem to find bidding information for LSM core modules. Does that mean that they cannot be bidded, but can only be preallocated.

Thanks in advance!

this 1 must ask faculty, but if it doesnt appear in CORS, it simply means pre-allocated until there is no more space for bidding and not available for other ppl

want to go in must appeal
