I noticed that uob has increased their credit card interest to 28% and dbs cash line will increased their interest by 2% in jan 2015. Anyone noticed the same in other banks? Is this a hint that interest rate is going up soon or is there some policy change by MAS?

Compare cost of borrowings to secured lendings such as SIBOR, SOR or DBS' FHR, or corporate rates.

Not your unsecured rates for credit cards. This one simply means people are owing more money and the banks want them to pay up, or simply make a buck out of these desperate people.

And I hope you do not use credit cards as a leverage / gearing for investments...
