my MA is full so they transferred to SA but why not just leave it there to cater for 2024 MA ceiling amount

Yeah home loan left about S$320k so we just paid about S$160k each to clear it as interest charged is higher than cpf interest.

But, you can use it to invest in t-bill you wil be better off

some people will say you should have invest the OA instead to get higher yield than what you pay for the bank loan

like you I also cleared the entire loan instead of paying interest to the bank... but the downside is the accrued interest that balloons like crazy each month. but if you're not selling then can ignore that.

May opt to refund cash to cpf later, see how.

But hubby says accrued interest can still use to pay next property.

I used my OA to pay for part of my landed property and in Tbills.

Most of my CPF in SA and MA. That's all... nothing much to show. I am below 40. SA and MA total only 300k.

And I think that, by itself, is amazing.

48 years old. CPF only about S$300k plus. Not a lot.

Currently at 68500. When the interest kicks in, some of the MA flows to SA. I'm in my late 30s.

2 possibilities.

1. you cannot top up more than 3k, since there's bhs of 71500
2. you top up more than 3k, the extra 5k gets refunded without interest and woudln't automatically overflow into sa/oa
