Yes, in RA, interest earned by RSTU cannot be withdrawn at PEA. This applies to RSTU as well. Wording it another way, in RA, all RSTU and its corresponding interests earned must participate in LIFE. This also means should you get full exemption from LIFE, this bucket of money is not exempted and will still have to go to LIFE.

Yes, 1xBRS (or 0.5x FRS) can be withdrawn anytime between RA creation and PEA, using property pledge (T&C). This withdrawal has to be taken out of CPF.

In addition, at PEA, you can withdraw another 20% of FRS + interest earned, in Excel: FV(0.04, 10,,-FRS)*0.2. What I still not 100% certain is whether this 20% can be deposited back to RA after LIFE starts.

Edit: Added "at PEA" in last para.

The devil is in the details........

Is it true that interest in the RA cannot be withdrawn?
Assuming FRS at 181k in 2020 age 55, will hit 269,840 at age 65.
Can only withdraw 90.5k, if goes for Basic plan at 65?
Or can only withdraw 20% of 269,840, if go for Basic plan at 65?

What don't you all write to ST forum or do a big FB?

look at st forum. it is only one or 2 pages per day. look at the number of post here everyday. wat do you think are the chances that your article will be posted.

some more look at the way we write. st editor will definitely censor what we write.

Before I started contributing, I went through > 100 pages each on the CPF threads. One might run away with the feeling but eventually, this is not the case. It's like CPF LIFE, on the surface, looks like MSW but when you peel open the skin, it's actually kampong inside.

I often see amdk, what exactly is it? Actually, it may not even be an am behind it but a fake am as an IB.

Too bad...as usual, you get personal with BBCW (and some others) on whatever he writes. And as usual you keep complaining about chicken and duck :s13: And as usual you bring your heated argument with him (and some others) to almost all CPF threads :s13: And as usual you are being rude in your reply (e.g. making fun of someone's name/nick).

To be honest, you have contributed quite a lot in CPF-related topics. But you seem easily irritated by BBCW (What have you done sir :D) that whatever he said, you will object (both rightly and wrongly in my opinion). And whoever support his view, they are treated as his cronies. And whoever does not agree with you, it is chicken and duck talk. Then the whole thread becomes your schoolboy argument thread.

Go and read which part I agree with BBCW (I don't necessarily agree 100% with him), though I don't expect you to do so.

Must summarise one of course.
CPF would reply to ST.

That Michael Toh on FB with a simple stroke could garner so much public attention & a CPF reply. Lol

Nowadays whenever i go into any CPF- related threads, i can expect to see the few usual guys arguing like school boys :s22:

I really appreciate the information provided by these guys, but it would be better for them to set aside their ego and stop the schoolboy arguments. You know who you are.

Your critic applies to own post above?

To be honest, this is the cause, in case u are still wondering why u got whacked :s13:

( I hate when people write "to be honest", it implies they are really not :s13:)

Yes based on current rules.

You can withdraw anything above the FRS in your OA + SA. But just take note of policy changes.

But the order of withdrawal will be from SA, then OA. I rather gamble a bit and draw out all my OA (or use them to be put in RA instead), do SA Shielding (buy bonds or anything that matures after 55 in CPFIS).

So that i have SA and RA account only. MY OA monies will throw to dividend plans, could be 3Gen policies, dividend stocks/REITS or other instruments.

BHS likely will take care of itself through any shield plans and life plans approved for medisave usage.

SA monies will only be used for emergency emergency.

This does imply that “multiple” SA shielding could be done.

It takes two to tango. One likes to poke and the other like to be poked :s13:

Check with CPF how they deal with CPFIS funds from CPF SA. Which is why i never mentioned about multiple SA Shielding.

Write how they treat your SA account and whether you can contribute to SA after you do the first investment.

If you want me to answer, multiple SA shielding cannot be done, because SA monies (including CPFIS funds which is withdrawn and treated as it is) reached FRS,

you cannot contribute to SA account anymore (even if you do CPFIS).

E.g CPF SA has 176k now, and reached FRS. You buy a money market fund or trust etc and use up 130k.

SA account is treated to have total of 176k (reached FRS) (40k in SA + 130k from CPFIS). Hence, you cannot OA to SA or RSTU into it.

Multiple shielding as in
RA created, ie, 176k in RA.
SA 176K
OA 100k,

Want to withdraw OA of 100k, up shield again
Withdraw 100k.
Down shield SA

Result
RA 176k
SA 176k
OA 0.

Repeat.

You can try. Like I mentioned, for CPFIS, you need a minimum of 40k in SA. You know CPF is rigid. So unlikely they will allow you to use all 176k.

Justwakeup, pls take note of a good solution for you not to be poked or go poked others.

I have this "recommendation" for all of you who have questions on CPF related matters, ie to post all queries in the BBCW proprietory thread. I never step into that thread, then all of u can rest in peace :s13:

Your reply as usual. Come on, continue to poke, as if i mind. The more u reply (poke, in your own word), the more it shows your character. I will just continue to search for what i need :s12: . Recommend you to step back and take a look at how you have replied (whine) recently.
