How do you guys growing your CPF money? For OA account

Do you keep it in CPF for the interest or do you invest it? What kind of investment do you have? For me I only have investment with Prudential which my insurance agent ask me to buy.

Use it to buy ETFs like S27 or ES3. The latter if you don't want the foreign exposure.

Alternatively, you can go through Endowus if you'd like to balance your risk (though you can just do that by investing less of your OA, since the ordinary account can be considered the bond portion of your portfolio).

S27 cannot be invested with CPF.

For my CPF OA amounts > S$20k, it's periodically invested in Endowus Lionglobal Infinity US 500 under Funds Smart (minus CPF OA mthly amounts used to service housing loan).

Bought OCBC years ago during a dip. The scrip dividend and the normal dividend all adds up and outperform the CPF OA massively.

Will have better results if I went for DBS that time. But during then, I'm not that knowledgeable in term of investment. Only knew a little bit. Not that I'm any better now. Ha ha

Banks are safer plays. Might be better if you are looking for something that pays slightly better than OA 2.5%.

(Not sure about now since the 3 banks are high now. Maybe can always wait for another dip. No hurry anyway. Just sit and enjoy the 2.5% while waiting for the next dip. Never be in a rush to try to maximize more interest/profit. It might hurt us more than making a small gain) (some random rambling that is more meant to myself....)

What is your investment horizon? Do you have an asset allocation plan? Does your cash flow allow you to invest cash, or is CPF considered your spare cash?

CPF is just one component. Better to have an idea of the overall picture. Especially since you already kena by buying ILP.

I just want to grow my CPF money before buying my flat in few years time. The One with Prudential is a PruLink SuperGrowth Account (CPFIS-OA). Less than $20k.


Not sure if investing is better or keep in it CPF to earn interest

Too early for me to say. Just single digit gain only.

Bcos Endowus just started introducing 'Funds Smart' in Oct 2020, which allowed me to allocate 100% of CPF OA into Lionglobal Infinity US 500 from Nov'20 onwards.

Previously the bulk of my CPF OA were with ES3 (STI).
