CPF Life - Standard Plan

My CPF Life has started.
I will document what happens until things settle into a steady state.
Hopefully, this will make this phase of CPF a little clearer as there's very little information shared in this forum for this phase.

Some background. At 55 (2016), I selected FRS. The sum was $161k (according to Google). A few years back, I did a little topup of about $10k to RA.

A few months back, I was asked to select my CPF Life start date and payout plan. I opted to start at 65 and chosed the standard plan.

This is my CPF dashboard on 24 Aug 2026.

This morning, upon checking my CPF, I discovered that most of my RA has been taken as CPF Life premium.

No. As you can see above, they took about 83% of my RA for CPF Life premium.

kind of weird... we have always been told money into RA is one way only and all meant for CPF Life premium...

No. You can take back roughly 20%.

by the way, how to withdraw from CPF when we reach 55 years old??? the system will paynow me a fixed sum monthly???
