There are 2 types of people who share in this forum.

1) True volunteers who help but not seeking monetary returns
2) Posters who are seeking monetary returns either through jobs or advertising on personal blogs

So please understand the nature of the share. =:p

Obvious eg is the Open electricity thread, where people opening beg others to use their referral code because they shared the most in that thread, then go other threads to brag how much referral fees they made which can cover many many moons of their own electricity bills :s13:

Then there are some who share with hidden motives :s13:

when i read this, dunno to cry or laugh. :s13:

balance left in SA if pays at 2.5%, everyone will start withdrawing out and invest elsewhere which easily can get 4% or even higher. Reason govt paying 4% is not to encourage you to withdraw.

he said MA should not overflow to SA and keep till 65, isn't MA also pay 4%? so contradict with earlier complaint of SA paying 4% after FRS. :s13:

some might cry, cos they intend to do SA Hack at 54+, if govt decide to drop SA interest to 2.5% after 55, their "opportunity" to hack is gone :s13:

govt paying 4% on SA is not to encourage u not to withdraw, u cannot withdraw until at 55 if u meet FRS. It is the FAQ stating SA should earn lower interest after 55, strictly speaking.

MA got nothing to do with SA. U have to read the forum page to understand what that guy is complaining about :s13:

It is to correct your wrong perception about purpose of sharing. I am not interested in earning geneco referral fee just to expose my family's mobile number to risk of harrassment :s13:

Nobody play like this guy who openingly begs others to use his referral code :s13:

i'm referring to after 55yo, and yes the hacks also. the hacks is for those who feel "safer" by getting 4% on the extras if you are able to transfer at 54+.
But frankly, I dun bother to do the hack even now my SA long met the FRS and infact the editor can feel happy that I'm withdrawing out all the balance in SA and not enjoying the 4%. =:p
simple e.g, even u park at DBS blue chip earns you more than 4%. Of cos there's risk as well. But who knows, park in CPF also risk of goal poles shifting. :s13:

I did clearly read his post, he referred MA overflow to SA, bcos it became SA got more money to enjoy 4%. :s22:

ok, u are the exception, so that article is not relevant to u at all.

My SA is full, so MA will overflow to OA earning 2.5%, I am not happy, I want it to stay in MA regardless of BHS to earn 4%, so I support him, if a self employed can win this battle, any policy changes will likely benefit all CPF members (employed or not) :s13:

is this amt equal to all your cash topup monies to SA?

someone shared before all his SA cash topup monies are reserved and cannot be used for investment.

not all the yearly 7k top up. not sure how they add up this reserved amount.
anyway. it's over 40k

end of the day, you must have enough in SA to benefit substantially.

anyway the really smart one will know how to invest the excess money above ERS. 4% return might not be much to these people.

In fact, should transfer progressively along the way during your working life.

If got money can dump it to Max of FRS and treat it single premium for 20 or so endowment policy?
