why you want to move from one to the other and get same low rate? open a dbs my account, no fall below fee, close the dbs savings account.

open a Maribank account and get 2.7%.

Deposits at MariBank are covered up to SDIC limits.

The Credit Suisse bailout literally just happened last year (2023). Of course it’s possible for a bank that’s large and systemically important (even beyond its home country) to fail. That literally just happened in another small country beginning with the letter S. However, deposits at DBS and OCBC are also covered up to SDIC limits.

why are you all commenting on me. why dont you people comment on the guy that say putting the sa in tbill is a good idea because it is going to be transferred to oa at 55. tbill interest more than oa interest

Current Tbills is 3.4%pa and likely to fall further while SA is giving 4%. Does not make sense to go into Tbills. Even when SA is removed and funds are moved to OA, at 2.5%pa is still better off than the slightly higher Tbill rates considering the opportunity costs of losing 1 or 2 months of OA interests if funds are used to buy Tbills.

Therefore, with the Tbills rates likely to head lower, you are better off leaving your funds in OA instead.

Sounds logical and rational.

Question: If I achieve ERS, do my monthly contributions to SA now overflow to OA, or do they continue to go into SA?

This isn't a situation that is happening to me anytime soon, but I'm curious as to what happens in that situation.
