Hi, i just built my new com 2 days ago. I'm using a intel i5-4690 and msi h97 gaming 3 motherboard. My idle cpu temp is 45 degress:eek::s11:. Is it normal? What is the safe range of cpu temp? I'm using a corsair h60 as a cpu cooler, should the temp still be that high?

Why so high?! My 3570k with stock Intel cooler idle at 37-39 degrees

Its normal.......Don't need to bother. What you should bother is your load temp hit 100C and CPU throttle.

At stock speed, CPU should not throttle at all. And you should just stick to stock cooler since you cannot even overclock the CPU. Saw up the $$$ for better graphics card.

"45 degress" seems a bit high for a AIO water cooling system. But what is important is your max load temperature.

Here is mine with air cooling for reference at idle.

I won't bother about the idle temps.

You should be focusing on the load temps instead. because load temps are more crucial.

Well if idle temp is 60-70 also bad , it will shorten ur cpu lifespan
