On overclockers.net They were comparing with the E and none E.

It is true that the base clock was reduced to maintain a lower TDP. But it has the same Turbo Frequency of 4.3ghz.

When testing it ran in the 3.6GHz range for the most part when a single core was engaged. But it did spike up to 4.3ghz at certain point.

Its a modified type of frequency clocking.

FYI, the price range offers difference from intels i7. i7 would land you a guage of $400 standalone vs $293. It was targetted to be on the same level as the i5-4460. But gives a performance boost when needed to use more cores and would give a performance of an i7 level.

With that AMD has done its job on that. Just needed software makers to make use of multi threaded applications. Which is quite hard.

Haiz.. if only amd could come out with a better way to deal with the lowered data/intruction set per cycle..

also need software maker/programmer to compile optimized code/strings for AMD...
based on statistic only 16% of users will be beneficiary from the AMD optimized codes then no point they will be doing it.

Haha anyway for the above, it is so jialat that it is killing their price and performance by a lot. They can offer 5ghz and 10 cores but the root of the problem is still there where the cpu cannot handle more data and instructions for each mhz. Ok for gaming.. but totally not ok for productivity work.

Must as well order from amazon...
SLS markup over $100 +
With the current exchange rate + shipping rates, the prices aren't too far off actually.. More in the range of about $40 more, but I'll be on the lookout for Black Friday sale
