gamma15 here's my GPU temp. Just finished playing game, so towards the end the GPU load comes down, but u can still see the max load and max temp from afterburner log. My R9 290 is slightly overclocked. Afterburner dont allow me to increase my GPU voltage beyond +100mv though, else i'll oc my gpu even more since the temp is so low.

This is taken after a 3+ hour gaming session. GPU max temp 70C, CPU max 65C (on one of my core).

Hmm... may be you left your rig wide open... mine was close...

May i know what CPU are you using??? i suspect my CPU heated up that cause everything heated also.

Because i notice my both CPU and GPU temp go up very high... by the way i use HWMonitor. after playing BF3 for 30~40mins... both temp got up to 95+ degC...

Your cpu cooler nt efficient enough... btw, if u getting 3rd party cooler, make sure it fits ur socket... CPU cooler for your 1st gen socket a bit hard to find.

Thanks, shadow84 for the advise...

planning to get AIO cooling for it... but now thinking how to fit... probably a casing without top cover.. :s13:

You can get 120mm thick AIO... Just make sure it fits LGA1156..

You can consider Thermaltake 3.0 Pro AIO at $100 from tradepac... 38mm thick rad. Mount it at the exhaust.

simplest solution which u can try it out today.

Open ur CPU casing's side panel, and aim ur table fan into it :s13:

Ur CPU temps might drop to 70s, and GPU might be even lower since we're using the same GPU and ive oced mine, thus if u didnt oc ur GPU it should by right be lower temp than mine.

U will still need a better cooler as a permanent solution, but in the mean time this will keep ur temps down.

My CPU is i2500k, oced to 4.5Ghz last night. It was 4.4Ghz when i took that screenshot earlier. My current CPU cooler is Cooler Master T3X Evo, pretty small but the easiest to install cooler.

bought a 2nd hand Noctua D14 from a HWZer. Finally managed to set it up, took quite a while cos need to dismantle my whole PC apart :s22:

Did a prime test, my max prime load temps dropped 20-21C on all 4 cores. Max temp now 58-60C only for my 4.6Ghz oc. Previously at exact same settings it was hitting 79-81C.
