Hi guys, need recommendation for CPU cooler. My current CM212 Evo getting super loud :( The fan stopped working 2 months ago, went to replace it but now its becoming so loud and noticeable. Overall, kinda pissed off with this CM product so wanna change away to a new cpu cooler.

-CPU is OC at 4.4ghz with 3570k.
-Using NZXT 410 casing.
-Budget: Hopefully below $100
-Preference: Air / Liquid maintenance free

Most importantly , noise level should not be noticeable.

Lost touch with current market, any advice is welcome :s13:

There's a Noctua 120mm fan selling for $30-ish that has good static pressure (and low noise, being a Noctua and all). The model's NF-F12 I think.

Noctua NF-F12: $30 (includes insane 6-yr warranty)
Scythe GT 1150rpm version: $25

The Hyper 212Evo is a pretty decent cooler, though I always have doubts about the quality of CM fans. Just replace fan, and you will have a great cooler. ;)

Ditto that. It's a very capable and respectable cooler for its price. Any good+silent pressure optimized fan would do it justice :o

Yea.. I continue to use my CM212 Evo, but replaced the fan with Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1.8k rpm , bought from TradePac. Now its functioning super cool and very silent. CPU most of the time hovering at 35-40degree during gaming. The max i saw in the record is 64degree.

You use the GT as push or pull?

who sells scythe fans locally?

Try #02-32, find nigel(?), he sells the AP-15 at $20...

I use it as a Push , to replace my previous fan position. But GT default is pull I think? As the axle side with sticker is facing on the "exit" direction :s13:
I also don't know , just see the mini arrow and put it in. Aesthetic not my primary concern in this rig now.
Next rig maybe.
