Temps look very normal to me for a 8700, plus you're in non aircon room; there's only so much you can do to shave off the temps in sg's climate.

If you feel like you really need to do something- try reseating the cpu cooler and reapply the thermal paste.

but my cpu cooler is cryorig r1 universal..and costed me a hundred over bucks for it.. Shouldn't my temp be lower with this kind of cooler?

Just wondering if my cooler got issue or what or really need to re-seat + reapply of thermal paste..

considering yours is i7, your temps are better than mine which at i5 is already similarly high and my solution is to switch on air conditioning and use a fan (any desk/floor fan) to direct cool air towards the frontal mesh intakes of the casing :)

Are you seriously using price as a benchmark for performance?

A cooler is just a hunk of copper and aluminum with fans bolted to its sides. No advanced electronics. No software. No advanced circuitry.

To put it into perspective, there is virtually no difference between a $10 cooler from AliExpress and a $120 cooler from a popular brand. What, you expect $120 cooler to be made of ultimatium metal with super thermal conduction and come with a fan that magically moves more air than other fans at the same speed?

No, $120 only gets you a better quality (and quieter) fan with better quality bearings and motors, and probably a better composition of metals that have slightly better heat conductivity than the $10 cooler.

It's amazing how so many people fail to recognize this basic fact.

If warm air blows directly at you, do you feel hot or cold? :)

I think the max value is not idling. Perhaps when it was pushed hard it hit that temp, which is fine.

Try Download Speccy. It records a single value temp for cpu.

Yes, a better cooler does help, not during idling but when pushed hard. When running Prime 95 on a cheap cooler and expensive cooler, the difference in temps will be more apparent.

U can try testing it yrself

yours r1 is dual heatsinks tower air cooler
mine h7+ is single heatsink tower air cooler

in theory yours has more surface area and should dissipate heat quicker

in practice there are much more factors and variables that affects performance

why don’t try air conditioning and use a normal room fan to blow at it, i like the >10c delta in temperature 🤒

i think u try reseat and reapply first, if cannot can try under volt using intel xtuning software. idk if B-boards allow undervolting....:(
