CPU,MOBO and Ram for light rendering

Hey guys I have a budget of $400 I will be doing light rendering and need recommendations for the above! Preferably a mobo that has support for kaby lake for future proofing is wanted.

2nd hand 2-3 generations back of Intel platform u ok? But u need future proof some more where got such things... :s22:

Actually possible lah... but very very tight for 2nd hand... though

You using CPU-based renderers or GPU-based renderers? How bad is chui? A lot of errors or just plain slow?

to futureproof u need skylake compatible mobo ... and for that you need ddr4 .... and that will eat up at least $100 of your budget .... $300 not enough lehhh !

As Mentioned below willing to stretch to a maximum of $600 btw I thought some 1151 mobo support ddr3? cuz i have some and would reuse it if possible

those ddr3 compatible mobo are bad and bottom-of-barrel , never seen anybody say they use it .... and only compatible with low voltage ddr3 at 1.35v

Yes there some boards do support DDR3 but for future proofing DDR4 is still the right way to go. And I believe that even if u get kabylake chipset board they might completely remove the whole DDR3 support.
