CPU problems

Hi guys,

need some expert advise

CPU has been coughing up real bad lately. sometimes unable to power on (got lights but no screen), sometimes stuck at starting windows, sometimes (when lucky) can turn on.

Im not sure what is wrong, brought it down for diagnostics, person told me is either motherboard issue or HDD issue.

so i was fiddling around with it last night when it wasnt turning on. i unplugged the power to the graphics card, then turn it on. the sound of the fans was loud (sounds like it was working fine).

then i plug in the power to the graphics card again, sound of fans became soft.

i am starting to think it might be the PSU getting old and slowly not supplying enough power?

RADEON 5770
2 HDD
COOLER MASTER 212
ANDYSON F500M

first thing, the fan you are refering -> case fan, cpu fan or gpu fan?

i used to have a p55 serie mother board too, my problem with my cpu is similar with what you are facing.

my cpu will alway boot up but it will auto reboot randomly. sometime lucky the whole day work fine but if suay suay, whole day keep rebooting.

i change to a new mobo and my cpu work normally again
