Well, that's one possible route but in reality, last man standing is the one with the deepest pockets so that rules out most of us...

Easier to vote with your pocket while AMD is still around.

How to sue them under anti competition, when their competitors beh gan? Its like your teacher punish you for passing the exams when whole class fail. When games/applications start to use multi core, intel confirm will release hexa core CPU (Hexa core 5770k? 5930k & 5960x Octa core?). Their market research department is not retarded.

Strictly speaking, Intel is not a monopoly/duopoly because the CPU space is divided between Intel, AMD and ARM. It just looks like a duopoly between Intel and AMD because ARM isn't used for PCs.

So even if AMD dies off, there's still ARM before Intel can be considered a monopoly.

I believe AMD is trying to avoid completing with Intel at the extreme end(Gaming), cause they have limited funds.

Currently it seems they are iInvesting in APU, which will eventually be fine tune to be used in smartphone/tablet or chromebook kinda of system.

So both intel and AMD is bringing the game to ARM(and it's licenced partners).

Gaming end looks like we are stuck with Intel, since AMD just pull the plug on FX series.

In Short, AMD IS NOT INTERESTED in fighting with Intel on both fronts.

AMD is not that weak against Intel if the compiler is using the neutral compiler a.k.a open standard/library. most of the games / benchmarks are compiled using ICC....then you know how is the outcome already
