I'm going to probably upgrade soon, from an already ancient Core 2 Duo rig. I generally keep my rigs for about 5-8 years before upgrading.

At the moment I don't know if the extra expense(in addition to cooling), buying the 4670k is worth it as compared to the the 4670.

To add on, I only have a Bitfenix Prodigy M, which means my cooling options are much more limited.

Thanks for replying.

No. The return of investment from overclocking the haswell series is dismal, stick to non-k.

I know the k series is used for overclocking, yes.

But seeing that Haswell tim is pretty bad, or so I heard, plus like what Rogue said earlier, maybe I should just stick with non k.

Anyway, I'm asking this because I'm thinking of the possibility of overclocking the cpu down the road, around a few years later.

I would like to upgrade my casing, SSD, NAS, Wireless Router,GPU & PSU etc, rather than CPU & MB, but if you have spare cash, just go.
