Is it normal for the temperature of my cpu (i7-6700) to run and stay around at about 50 degree Celsius in just a min ?
depends a lot of factor
if u r using old casing with poor airflow, idle 50 degree is common
if u r using old fan that aged much, it also affect the airflow
it also depend if you r on load or on idle, u didn't mention anything
if u r using old pcu, idle 50 degree is common too
if u r using old cooler, havent reaapply termal for ages, the cooler itself is choked with dust, idle 50 degree is common too
the newer cpu would idle around 40 degree or less
ideally, it is good if cpu don't exceed 80 degree on full load though cpu itself usually can handle 100 degree but for longevity seek, 80 degree is better. of course lower the better.
idle 50 is quite high even in Singapore weather. But if it is under light load then that's perfectly fine to be honest.
In AIDA64 or Cinebench? Yup. But if you are talking about launching a game upon windows start up, then there could be something wrong with either your case airflow or your cpu cooler.
The first thing you can check is if you have any intake fans from the front of your case, or if your air intake is being blocked by cables and hard drives etc. If it’s none of those issues, then it could be a CPU cooler problem where the heatsink base is not properly attached to your cpu and as such leaving some gaps between the thermal paste, which is the only connection between your cpu and the cpu cooler. You might need to check that. Otherwise, you can always get a slightly better air cooler for your non k 6700 like a hyper 212 or cryorig of equivalent power etc.
Hope this helps and all the best!
