No sound, no beep, nothing is moving at all.

Not even any of the fans are working...

Did some silly testing and the power cable that I used to connect to the CPU from the socket, is definitely working.

Any help? Greatly appreciated!!

I had a situation similar to yours. I strong suspect the following: -

1) check cables connection to mb. make sure all the cables are connected. There should be to 2 sets of cables, one 8 pin to CPU, one 24 pin to the edge of motherboard,
2) borrow a psu and try again; and last
3) MB short/faulty.

no unless your motherboard already short your hdd. normally you just need to RMA or buy replacement montherboard. Depend on your brand, if they troubleshoot on the spot, bring along your hdd and ask them to check your hdd.
