cpu upgrade whether is needed

Hello i am using gtx asus 780 my motherboard is I7-4771 my monitor is ASUS VG248QE. i know my rig is super old. I have been using aftershock laptop for quite sometime because i am overseas. But i decided to switch back to my desktop because i thought it will be much better so i bring my whole desktop overseas now. And now when i play dota 2 only game i play. And i try to play it at high setting with 144fps everything is stuttering and lagging but when i play it at the lowest setting everything is much better. Any idea why or i have to update my graphics card to the latest 10 series to keep that amount of fps going or i am missing some settings

From my pov the card is not that old.. Playing dota 2 on that should be easy.. Maybe it's the settings or drivers

Gtx 780 is slightly better then gtx 1050ti which run dota2 at Max fps 1080p. Why upgrade then? Think ts should check settings and update drivers.

Your GPU is more than capable

Try dismantling and reaplying thermal paste

alright thanks guys. i reapply my thermal paste and now its back to normal becuase previously its overheating.
