CPU WONT START

My comp suddenly hanged and i manually restarted it and wouldnt boot since then. The fan would turn on and spin for 3seconds and off. Repeatedly. I need a go to person i can look for at sim lim to have it looked at. I have no intention of diagnosing the problem myself cos im pure noob. Thanks

Recently my colleague had the same PC desktop symptoms as yours. His issue is Motherboard is faulty.

well if u not gonna fix it your own and is your pc DIY or those system builder like DELL etc?

can check with them if your pc still have warranty and ask them to help u do a onsite or u bring it to them.

else if diy can go down to sls and look for nigel.

either your psu got problem or your motherboard got problem.
but since it will turn on and spin for 3sec, most likely the motherboard is unable to receive any power.
so can safe to say that your motherboard is spoil.

I DIY myself but got nigel to assemble for me sometime back but couldn't remember his name. Somehow it booted up and is running fine now..

U can look for him @sls lvl2

are you god to say the mbo is spoiled?

there could be many reasons why the PC won't post

1. a bad ram stick
2. a bad power supply
3.etc

the list goes on

no one can tell without running the proper tests on the hardware.

TS, Look for nigel and have him sort it out for you ( give kopi $)
