how come s3 drop down the screen crack easily , my s2 drop at least 5 times still ok , s3 also using gorilla glass also.. hmm

design of the phone. if u look carefully at the s1 and s2(i assume; i only have a s1) there is a very slight "protection" around the screen of the phone. for the s3 its like mbs' infinity pool. no protection

like that i need to wait for a more resistance to drop phone, s2 and htc desire drop they never broke on me .

If your phone screen never crack means you just got lucky and never drop it at an angle that will cause the screen to crack. Simple as that.

For me ( Yes, me, not chiu.. ), dropping a phone and the phone is damage in any ways is simply the fault of the user and no one else. Full stop.

DATA ERASE?

Q1.) For those who had their Samsung S3 LCD screen replaced, does Samsung erase all the data as well? I had mine backed up but just asking out of curiosity as I don't see the need for them to reset it to factory settings.

Q2.) How long is the repair duration? Mine was told 4-6 days! Gosh.

Went to ps Samsung with the phone above to ask whether anything can b done.
The cso told me that Tis time will b FOC repair. She said almost hav to change the whole thing including the battery.
My fren n I walked out the service centre happily.

Off topic, how often we hear the past Nokia phones with cracked screen?
I guess bigger display screen phones means higher chance of damage screen when upon impact

sent my cracked screen to JP and they want to charge me $188 for replacement.

told them heard first timer is FOC she said no.

Than I mentioned that PS service center did it for a few which i heard of.

now the service girl say she will check and get back to me and if replace the screen FOC, there will no longer be any warranty coverage...

she said samsung never offer free replacement. She challenges whoever have free replacement to show service form. lol.

so who's lying? anyhow, i paid for the screen, no point fighting over a hundred over dollars bills.

hi, saw the cracked white s3 pic on the previous few post? i helped my fren change it for FREE at ps! but 1 n onli 1 time. even the manager came out n tel me tat they hav to change almost every parts in this phone.

if im u, i jus take back the phone n go PS n ask. sure can ! their customer service is so much better den other place.

but i dun hav screenshot for the invoice. cuz my fren threw it awae le. sry !

Ouch! I've dropped mine also and talked to CRO in Plaza Singapura and told them of the FOC. She advised me to asked for the Service Order of those with FOC on their services and replacement of cracked screen so that she can check. She also offered discounted rate at SGD131. If anyone has the service order, please send to my yahoo email dudegio for them to track. Kindly send me also your full name if service order isn't available. I think their system can locate also by name. You may also post a response here if it's okay to reflect your full name and service order here. Thank you so much.
