finally got my hands (very tired as its quite heavy) on the katana, have yet to set it up though.

I got it at a cool price of 329 from SLS.

Wow. I bought mine from SLS ytd too. Want to ask the experts here if use optical cable or USB cable got any difference?

Nice! Well for me it's pretty straightforward. Optical for PS4, USB for PC. To my understanding, to experience the virtual 7.1 surround it has to be connected to a PC.

This. Gotten mine from PC show at $399 but off load all my other freebies that came with the creative booth for $150, making it a truly attractive piece of hardware for $249.

Recently decided to built a mini PC as a living room entertainment system just to utilize the virtual 7.1 surround sound.

Wow, awesome deal. What did they give that was worth 150? From what I know, its an optical cable and some warhammer game...

They gave me an outlier Bluetooth headphones (in addition to warhammer game + optical cable for buying katana) and I won myself an outlier sweatproof Bluetooth earphones from the on stage jackpot spin.

can the lights be turn off ?

it will be irritating to watch a movie with that RGB led lights on in the night :(
