lol... plate ur ears gold then plug in ear phone loh :s13::D

i no gold to plate my ears also :(

my default mobo is realtek onboard souncard,
now trying out the premium HD with HD595, no eq applied
currently only using Ayaka's Mikazuki to listen

my ears not so gold one, but the difference i hear is..

soundstage seems wider when using the premium HD
clarity - vocals, instruments sounds like theres more details and rich? somewhat like that

i had the first gen x-fi previously, maybe gonna use it to compare with the premium hd :s22:

Hey guys don't mind me asking . Does having a sound card help with mic static? Currently onboard Realtek (asus p67 pro).

Also read I should ground whatever crap inside but I have no idea how except to use a good casing which I did. No diff than in the past. Not sure which variable will give the best result/effort. Always passed up on the idea of sound card since I don't listen to audio on com, on the go I'm with a SM3 + clip zip - good enough for me. Now at sim lim suddenly got hit with the idea

U should just get a better mic instead. The on board sound is decent enough.

New Creative sound card, S$99 only...Audigy RX! It looks like using the EMU processor that can do hardware acceleration of not just EAX but also hardware recording!

Sound Blaster Audigy Rx - Sound Blaster - Creative Technology (Singapore)

New Creative USB DAC, S$109 only....looks like ZXR acm lol...even has beam mike...but looks ugly imo.

Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1 - Sound Blaster - Creative Technology (Singapore)

that audigy rx has only 106 SNR and not nichicon cap, but still a good deal though. how does the performance compared to Z series?

i like that omni though. interesting and useful products.

First is using 10K3 chipset, good enough for any hardware accelerated gaming and decent sound quality.

Second... not much interested, personally.

Yeah man wonder what is the EMU 10K3 chipset all about, they advertise as real hardware acceleration unlike the Soundcord3D

U can find the chip business of Creative at link below:
OEM - Chips

But when I try to find 10K3, it seems the Audigy series (10Kx series) is no longer on the site, so... I am sorry, unable to help much. But in simple rule, 10Kx and 20Kx series are all with hardware acceleration support.
