Heya guys. Was looking around but cant seem to find much details regarding their warranty claim process. So my SoundBlaster Katana which I gotten for a week having issue with its aurora lightings, and bringing it back to the shop I purchase from in SLS refuses to do a 1 for 1 for me, stating that Creative wants the users to go down themselves for an exchange.

So do we need to like fill up any RMA forms before hand through their online forms, or we can just bring the faulty product down to their customer care centre to do a replacement straight.

U don't have to fill up anything. Just have your receipt with u. Head down to the Service Center at:

Customer Care Center
31 International Business Park
#04-11, Lobby B, Creative Resource
Singapore 609921

Operating Hours:
Mondays to Fridays: 10AM - 6PM
Weekends and Public Holidays: Closed

Its at Jurong there. They will on the spot ask u to reproduce the problem you are facing.

Yeah just head to IBP to get it replaced. Dont worry, if it is truly defective, they normally dont repair, they will replace it for you.

Oh and more 1 thing. Do I have to bring down the whole box with everything inside, or just the specific sound bar which is faulty.

Depends on which SLS shop

1:1 exchange is easy between a shop and reseller / distributor. Simple RMA process
Some shops like Infinity / Fuwell have 1;1 exchanges within 30 days

For creative, you don't need to bring whole box. Just the faulty unit. They will test with another unit and replace accordingly. Its @ IBP. About 15mins walk from JE MRT. Then another 15mins in the building itself unless you walked in the correct entrance. :p

Apparently, this shop I went to, shall not name them, told me upfront can return to them within 7 days to exchange on the day of purchase if any thing goes wrong, and I still called them before going down, told me to head down. And when I'm there, they flip prata. Say since when they say got 7 days exchange. And bla bla, Creative dont allow distributor to claim RMA anymore all that kinda nonsense. I'm definitely not gonna go back to that shop anymore thats for sure. Just wanna get this faulty unit replaced and get it done with.

Ahh, so I just bring the soundbar down, without the adapter and wires will do as well?

Yeah, i know what you means. Sometimes, its worth it just to pay a bit more, to get peace of mind..

Bring any component that you think, might be causing the problem
Eg:
If you bring the unit and it works fine and the adaptor is at fault but you did not bring the adaptor, >.<

Usually, I would pack everything and bring back. That's my habit. Give a piece of mind in case they request anything. If its 1 for 1 that just give everything to them. U will receive a brand new one.

Regarding Creative warranty.
If possible do bring along the complete package.
It is best to change all items.
Who knows it may be the adapter could cause the issue.
They tried to assist me in repair cost when i damaged the tablet screen.
In the end gave me 33% discount on a similar tablet.
This happened 10+ years ago.

Yeah guess I'd probably bring down the whole set. Although its kinda heavy since it comes with a subwoofer too. Dont really know how Creative 1 to 1 exchange works, so guess I will bring them all down. Do they really give us a brand new set for exchange? Or just a re-furbish set?

Thanks all for the advise.

My experience was brand new set. The place is also their product showroom with products selling, so for mine, the guy took one from the sale area. Sealed, speaker everything had their plastic protection sticker on and wrapped. The wire-tied cables can be seen untouched. I think it really depends on your visit and whether they update on their side. U can clarify and request on the spot.
