HWZ: Creative launches XF1, a S$249 Hi-Res bookshelf speaker system
Creative has a new pair of wireless bookshelf speakers – the Creative XF1.
Aimed primarily at users who want a capable audio setup without breaking the bank, the 2.0 speaker system is built around a bi-amplified two-way design with DSP control and dedicated amplification for each driver. Creative says this helps reduce distortion and keep the sound balanced as the volume changes. It is rated at 72W RMS, with a frequency range of 55Hz to 40kHz, and uses bespoke 3-inch woofers to deliver more punch and close-range clarity at the desk.
The XF1 also carries dual Hi-Res Audio certification, supporting playback up to 40kHz over USB audio and analogue line-in, as well as Hi-Res Audio Wireless over LDAC via Bluetooth 6.0. Users can also connect over USB-C for up to 24-bit/96kHz playback, while a 3.5mm line-in and dedicated subwoofer output make it possible to expand the setup into a 2.1 system later. It’s pretty souped-up pair of speakers, in my opinion.
Design-wise, the XF1 doesn’t take up too much of your desk either, thanks to its 99.7 x 191 x 155mm footprint for each speaker. It will be available in black or white, and even comes with detachable cork stands that angle the speakers towards you. Sound customisation can be managed through the Creative Nexus app, which includes a 10-band parametric EQ, preset management, and more than 120 EQ presets covering music genres and close to 100 games.
Availability and pricing
The Creative XF1 is comes in black and white options, priced at S$249 and will be available in Singapore from 16 July 2026 through Creative’s online store and authorised dealers.
