I am considering for this course also. But I am a PES E NSF. So I think the Police wouldn't want me. It's pretty devastating because it also means 1 less career option in the future. I wouldn't know about other agencies also. Well, the government basically looks at the PES status back in army.

What do you think?

Robber A rob someone at Jurong but later get caught at his home in Tampines. Damn power man..can track from 1 end to another.

Even if you are PEB A & B may not be consider by SPF. There are non-uniform scheme in SPF like Senior Crime Scene Specialist, Senior Forensic Examiner/Specialist & etc. There are similar jobs to SPF such as DXO jobs in MP command, MSD & etc

However you do not needs to major in Criminology & Security to do these jobs. To make thing worst, it may worth lesser then a business degree which limit your career opportunity.

If you are interested in how to do investigation work, you can consider going for this course, WSQ Perform Investigation Activities in Compliance with Legal Requirements (PI) that is open to public.

ME! very interested in the course! I heard they will be having talks in the upcoming SIT open house.

but afraid that they will reject applicants due to GPA or insufficient placing? (My GPA 3.18 dunno whether can not.)

I saw one article 2013 their class only 40 ppl for first intake (32 directly from SPF) so abit hong gan :(
