So it's a case of sour grapes?

Last time academic results not better than others work performance also not better than others that's why never get govt jobs offer?

Singapore's economy was much better 15-20 years ago. It made sense to join the private sector for the higher pay and progression.

But now we have too many foreigners competing for jobs and retrenchments have become more common.

Sinkies voted for FT competing for jobs… If so, why stop at private sector? That same FT competition should also happen at public sector….No? :ROFLMAO:

Sure, if they are willing to match private sector rates when it comes to salary. It’s well known that public sector pay tends to lag behind by around 30%, and that’s the price civil servants pay for an iron rice bowl in general. 🙂

Really meh, moi know multiple vendor (even from mnc) who join gov get pay raise sia. Some even kpkb their pay and team headcount is funded from gov contract so might as well join gov.

Looking at annual(monthly salary, PB, AWS, Mid and year end) salary package, the public sector is not lag behind much….

We knew they always 高薪养廉….Hearsay, many senior teachers salary are already above 120k P/A….Some are above 150k P/A..

Covid was zero that year. This cannot be as bad, so shouldn't be zero. The "best intel" sauce of 0.3mth above seems about right.
