Hi people, i just exited the war memorial park, just crossing road. Everywhere i see are singaporeans.. so rare. Feel so heartwarming. Nobody complaining even though got people cut queue in front. All just waiting patiently

experience it while it lasts.

how come no pics on new citizens and FT paying last respect?

moi ish a PG and had 1st hand sexperience of what Sg live was in the early 50 and 60.

And it ish moi responsibility to "educate" the younger generation that what they enjoy and take it for granted "good live" of today are due to the hard work of our 1st generation politicians like LKY, GKS etc etc.

whether they like it anot ish entiry up to them.

Just finished with my family, took about 50 min from City Hall MRT to LKY.
Got young kids so guys in black arm bands directed us to other queue.

Look for the volentieers n explain, they will direct you.
Elderly 60 and above, kids below 5 yes apply.

If i in 30s accompanying my dad 70s can go tgther priority queue?

Zoe Tay went twice? Saw in another thread, picture of her being there in the daytime, wearing black top. Now I wonder how many in the queue went more than once...

i suspect this is the plan, after i observe what they were trying to do just now.

for the normal Q, padang is divided into "6 sectors" (or maybe 5, not sure). Once the people enter padang from the underpass, they are moved to the sector. Once a sector is 'filled up', they will close the sector, and move people to another sector.

someone will then control the "gate" to esplanade park. it looks like a bottleneck literally. each sector will take turn to walk through this bottleneck.

so padang works like a 'buffer'. hahaha.

finally they are doing something, making it strictly just parents accompanying below 6 years old and 1 adult for each elderly. Yesterday night was chaos, entire family and friends got into priority queue just because of one kid. Entire family of 4-6 pax accompanying 1 elder, jammed the whole queue. i suggest those to go in day time as there will be alot of companies sending their staffs via the priority queue which will jammed both priority and normal queue.

I think the authorities should just cater the priority queue for young children, elderly and handicapped.
