Yeah no matter what, LKH is still a once in a lifetime icon for singaporeans as the father of modern Singapore. Don't think any other politician in PAP will ever get the same kind of respect people have for him. As for TT or even LHL, I think the response of singaporeans will be much less.

I think people don't really mind not seeing the coffin up close, I myself feel it's a way to say our last goodbye for someone they respect. That saying ah gong ftw...showing everybody what is queue
