Yes he died for our sins. People always say Singaporeans are really gullible and I am starting to believe it.

Dr Ng also quoted Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who shared a Chinese idiom with him. Translated, the idiom says: "A thousand sails pass the sunken barrage; ten thousand saplings spring forth around the dying tree."

“Mr Lee Kuan Yew would encourage us to continue to live life to its fullest, to take Singapore further and make the world proud of what more we can accomplish from what he had started,” Dr Ng wrote.

Right now, from what i heard from the officer who's restricting the 'waiting to enter padang' group is that beyond him, there is another barrier. Dead sealed. The queue you see which stretch from the cathedral to funan(?) is NOT even the official queue. The official queue starts in padang. And there's another queue at raffles city, stacking up fast.

From what i see they might be trying to clear up the stacks at padang so they can correctly cut the whole thing at 8pm.

'Waiting to enter padang since 12mn' group, im also in the midst of it. Jiayou.

I can second this because i was the since 12mn group and decided to give up at 5am. The q is tooo long. And the q outside city hall mrt is even longer. And thats not even the actual q.

Googled late Nelson Mandela's lying in state, all standing under the sun. Not sure if there were fan, portable toilets, drinks nor food provided.

Salute to all volunteers and planning committee for the hard work. This should be one of the very few lying in state carried out 24hours. While the q arrangement may not be perfect, they have been efficient to design q system and have tentage set up overnight.

And hang on to those in the q or waiting!

New Zealand on Friday announced its National Flag is to be flown half-mast on all government and public buildings on Sunday to mark the funeral of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Its parliamentarians had on Tuesday paid tribute to Singapore's founding Prime Minister in a parliament session.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has sent its condolences. It said on its Facebook page on Saturday: "WWE passes our condolences on the passing of the man, mentor and founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew."

I queued from 8.45pm and made it to parliament house at 6.05am. Damn tired but no regrets.

Yea I heard from the crowd that padang is empty already. I'm still at kranji war memorial but at least we are moving every now and then.
