yes, u are right. unfortunately, the going price now at harvey norman is 2999 for TV and 150 voucher + dvd+bluetooth speaker. extended warranty is 517. i asked today.

i think this is the current prices all around.

Been to Courts AMK today, served by a guy I thought is a Pinoy but later on felt sounded more like having an Indon accent, but anyways ...

They're also selling the EG910T for $2999 with the standard freebies, but this guy was not willing to even give me a price without the freebies, have to take everything. So I told him I'll look around a bit more.

Anyone knows any of the stores still offering a price for TV-only?

Uhh ... display set, so don't expect more than that 1 unit in the store.

If you still insist on going down, you probably want to find out how long it has been in use ... I've never tried myself but I read somewhere in here there's supposed to be something in the menu that shows you how long it has been used?

Currently looking @ the LG910T OLED. Quoted $2599 by HN for it. I like the colour and all. But what's holding me back is it's FHD. Supposedly now there's a industry wide push towards 4k. And its in the near future it will become a standard. So if I buy the set now, I'm afraid it will become obsolete in less than 3years?

Advice please....

Well at a certain distance resolution isn't a factor it will look the same.. I will go for picture quality over resolution..

Best denki had a pretty good combo offer not sure whether still on. Eg910 $2999 pwp las855 @$299.. and should be able to get $100 off TV if you bargain

Depends on the viewing distance. Anything more than 2.5m should not notice a difference between FHD and UHD. Just dun get 720p, if they are still available... hahaha

I would say my viewing distance will be between 2m to 3m... haha. But its always nice to 'future proof' to 4K. But the bloody 4k OLED is $5k! If only if it's $3k plus.... just maybe i can squeeze... So would you think its a good buy now for that 1080p OLED?

More manufacturers are moving towards screen quality than more pixel. They realise they can't achieve much from more pixel. Think digital cam. 2 megapixel to 4 megapixel was huge. Then came 8 to blow everyone away. Nowadays, 20+ megapixel easily. But can a 24 megapixel handphone cam takes better pic than a 18 megapixel dslr?

I would only consider 4k TV because the better features and current technologies are found in it.

Understood on the megapixel... I tried the HDR 4k Sony and it was pretty bad, surprisingly there was jitter in the motion and the colour pale in comparison to OLED. I like Sony colour for its naturally vibrancy but after OLED i couldnt look back. haha.

I don't have. I tested at the shop, i think its the 55inch X85D. Brought my own material to test, screen tearing during action scene was very visible.

That 32lf630t was selling $599 in 2015 but now is selling $499 at major superstore. No such thing as $200 on carusoll la. I saw cheapest $300+ and some selling at $400+.
