I am planing to do water cooling, when i researched most of the case are very huge like 900D or caselabs or Parvum and expensive or not available locally.

Anybody experience doing custom Acrylic Casing before ?

I am planing to design a horizontal casing, top level for ATX mainboard like the one in the following link and below level for all the PSW,HDD, radiator and pump.

900D not available locally? It should be available in sls. There are quite a lot of super tower chassis available. Such as Enthoo Pro, Silverstone 07 etc.

Anyway if you really wanna do custom acrylic is also fine. But your acrylic must be thick enough to hold the weight of certain radiators or reservoir.

I have seen some skimp on the thickness and the next thing i see it cracks either while screwing or after few months down the road it bends.

Acrylic to do the whole chassis also quite ex.

900D expensive an bulky leh..

I like caselabs S3 but only for ITX and not available locally.

Parvum also for MATX.

750D not much difference from my 450D ... but I still prefer 900D design.

Contradict yourself to the max hahaha.

Caselabs S3 price can fight 900D iirc...

If want hoot hoot second hand, got this guy selling on Carousell... Got another guy selling reverse atx smh8 for 400 also...

750D is a lot more spacious han 450D with more horizontal length... Makes it more water cooling essential than 450D.
Just that reservoir mounting and pump mounting tau tia only may need to drill some holes unless you want to use the original holes on the case.

If want dual chamber/horizontal case design, thermal take core X series maybe a good choice.

Sent from microwave oven using GAGT

Tbh! 750D just nice fit most water cooling components.

Not say you cant do it in a smaller chassis. You can do up to an itx level. But imho sometimes too small also cant reveal much stuffs and also may be too cramp.

750D is the minimum size to look "optimal" to show some wc stuffs.

I hoot 900D for a reason. Not because it is big. But to be able to fit quad 120mm rad for below and top is awesome. And thick rads. Still have space for many stuffs to put in.

Wc also good if you have good amount of rads in it to cool the entire components. To the extend you dont really need to crank up the fans settings. Some you can even dont bother with fans and run passively cooled.

Im running on all fans at under 600rpm to maintain both 290s at below 60 deg. At most on full load fan speed will be at 1000rpm.

Still quiet.

900D is big definitely. But its spacious and easier to do wc. But of cause at the end of the day once finish need ask my dad help me lift up and put on table lol. Cause the overall weight is 38kg. Lol

Yes that quad radiator at the bottom. Looks damn satki also if you use matching colour fans or LED fans :D
