Hi guys, just wondering what's a good custom gaming rig that cost less than 2000 which I going to be able to play the recent and upcoming games such as total war Rome 2 and farcry 4 in ultra settings.
(Thanks in advance!)

The only thing u missed out is a good cooler for your CPU if u r gonna OC. But he dun need such specs for gaming. It can be lowered.

I was originally getting like this build,
Asus gtx 780 oc 3gb
Msi H97 Gaming 3
Intel 4690 I5
Kingston hyperx 8gb 2 sticks each 4gb
Nzxt H440 casing
Samsung 840 pro ssd 128gb
Cooler master 650w gold modular
WD 1tb black hard disk
The casing fans are stock and planning to use a cooler master h series cpu cooler but haven't make up my mind which one. Any comments on this build? Like improvements and stuff?
Thanks, greatly appreciate your build written for me.

Why get gtx780 when gtx970 performs @ the same level with less heat, less power, less $ ? :s22:

U aready have a ssd and if u need extra storage get the Wd blue 1tb

Superflower leadex 650w will be a better choice over coolermaster

Please consider GTX 970 or 980.
Msi H97 Gaming 3
Intel 4690 I5
Kingston hyperx 8gb 2 sticks each 4gb
Nzxt H440 casing
Samsung 840 pro ssd 128gb
Drop this pro level ssd to mainstream consumer grade, Crucial MX100 which offer higher capacity.
Cooler master 650w gold modular
I will recommend Superflower Leadex 650W, Seasonic X or G series and FSP as well.
WD 1tb black hard disk
You don't need a black hdd when your OS is running on SSD. WD Blue is adequate.

Next step would be to download tradepac's pricelist and see if its over ur budget or not...

If overshot, can consider reducing the H97 gaming 3 to B85 G43 Gaming and i5-4690 to i5-4460. The extra few mhz for cpu wun make much diff.

Can also get cheaper rams, no need for HyperX series, wun increase fps or perf whatsoever.

Pricing!

Msi 970 Gtx = 575
Msi H97 Gaming 3 + Intel 4690 I5 = $441
Kingston hyperx 8gb 2 sticks each 4gb = 117
Nzxt H440 casing, or the Nzxt Phantom idk both prices
Crucial mx100 256gb = 154
Superflower leadex 650w = 149
WD 1tb blue hard disk = 67.50
Total = $1503.50 without casing and cpu cooler.
Now i choosing a cpu cooler and a monitor. (prefered 23 inches)
Idk but i kinda like to have a liquid cpu cooler like the corsair h series and white LED lighting in the pc.
Any recomendation?

For monitor, try dell s2340L. If gt budget, get dell u2414h.

No such need for AIO to cool non-k cpu. but if u wan, go get CM seidon 120V or Thermaltake 3.0 performer.

How much would the monitors cost? tradepac price list dont list them.
Okay, if i would to take a normal cpu cooler which one would be good?

$198 for s2340l and $359 for u2414h.

For v8/v10 price, might as well get aio. U can consider deepcool gammaxx 200/30, shld b within $40.
