Just finished my studies overseas thus back in Sg for good.
Looking to buy a custom rig. Budget say $1000?
Certain things to note
- mainly playing dota2
- need everything excluding kb/mouse
- want to wall mount the monitor so it can turn sideways so I can lie down watch show etc.

I would like to cut down on costs for the computer itself as I know the monitor would cost quite a bit

APpreciate all the help from you guys.
Thanks!!
P/s Im a total noob at fixing computers etc thus I'm ok to pay someone to set this up for me

gigabyte ga-h110m-ds2 + i5-6500 @ 406
kingston 2133mhz 8gb ram @ 76
fsp 450w 80+ hexa plus @ 58
palit gtx 1050ti 4gb @ 249
f3 tecware @ 49
toshiba 1tb hdd @ 64
windows from microsoft software swap reddit @ 30
assembly fee @ 30
total: 962.

all prices are from pcthemes since u wan a shop to build it all. i personally dun think that this is an optimised build. it could be done way better by changing the gpu to the gtx 1060 3gb at a cost of $70 but it's up to u. savings could be achieved further by purchasing online but since u want the shop to do it all, there u go.

hi all thanks for your ideas.
just wanna ask, is the gtx 1050 necessary?
because years ago i bought an i7 rig and it was a massive overkill as i dont really use it thus ended up selling it off very cheap.

now i just want something simple for light gaming (d2 and maybe overwatch) and weekends can watch shows full HD comfortably.

my current laptop lags at dota2 lowest settings which is such a pain

lastly, anyone able to advise the pros & cons in using gas strut desktop monitor mount vs wall mount with arm?

thanks alot again guys

a gtx 1050 is actually... very low end. in fact it's something i will not recommend unless ur budget is tight. unfortunately becuz u want to get everything off pcthemes, i have to adjust the budget as such.
i7 is overkill because for most games u dun use more than 4 cores with the exception of... bf1 i gues.

monitor mounts i dunno anything about them lol.
