Custom pc recommendation?

Hi all, looking to get pc for 144hz gaming.

Came across dreamcore's website

Not really sure which to get, any advice?

Also if there's any recommendation to get from other sites i'd greatly appreciate it, thanks!

now is literally the worst time to get a new pc. if u can afford to wait, do wait for new better hardware launching in the coming 2 weeks (which means either getting faster hardware for the same price or current gen parts dropping in price).

budget will be about 1.2k to 1.3 maybe 1.4k max? without monitor.

i intend to get a new monitor 144hz one as well as my current one is only 60hz.

I use it for gaming like csgo, other than that just normal surfing / netflix etc nothing heavy.

i'm not really sure how to fix everything myself if i buy separate parts, thats why looking to get from these custom pc websites like dreamcore as they have fixed for me.

for windows i'll get those cheap codes to activate, microsoft office i have my own acc so no need for that as well.

No need dreamcore aftershock unless they offer the parts you want at cheaper price. Somemore their service erm, I wouldn't say is top notch customer service quality. Just pay any PC shop a small assembling fee will do. Anything stop working during warranty period, can take grabcar to RMA.
No need them to act as middleman, might slow overall process.

Get from Sim Lim Square shops. Carousell / Shopee might carry overseas stock without warranty in Singapore.
Oh yes casing. Just make sure it fits the motherboard size. ITX mATX ATX eATX. Yours probably mATX/ATX.
RTX3070 should be 700~800+. Current stock are overpriced.
1k+ can get RTX3080 already.

Off topic a little since we are talking about building a custom PC. I've been going through some components brands and I noticed that the ASUS ROG Strix X570 motherboards are a tad more expensive than other brands. It not their motherboards as well, their monitors and GPUS also more expensive

I read some reviews and know that they are pretty good but are they generally that good or premium to command a higher price? And what exactly is an Asus ''tax''?

I'm looking at the Asus rog strix x570-f gaming motherboard in particular. Is this a good board? Anyone have experience with it?

what u mentioned about rog parts being more expensive for no clear reason is literally the asus tax u are asking about though rog parts do have rog tax on top of the asus tax as well.

Rtx 3070 cheapest official srp is $790. Doubt you can get cheaper unless online with promo codes/vouchers...

You should wait a while for AMD's 5000 series Ryzen CPU's to release and their GPU's (6800, 6800XT, 6900XT). As NightRaven said its the worst time right now so you may want to let the next gen stuff become mainstream before doing your build

For me, mostly TradePac. Dynacore another. Even reliable sellers @ Carousell like MakeFine or the t28jgn-boss. Cheaper price. If assembly is required, can seek Nigel at 2nd floor for more trustworthiness. PCTheme was my first PC build, then I realised that they are never cheap. As poor Singaporeans, I would advise to go for the cheapest. After sales service, I don't think PCTheme will provide F.O.C. nor do I need any after sales service. Afterall any RMA services required, we need to go to Distributors only.

I think he is doing it mainly because of his passion for PC assembly and parts.

If PC building service, I would recommend overseas warranty. Let the price be balanced between local pricing + overseas pricing. Whichever country is cheapest and profitable.

Not all customers are nice to deal with. Some expect low price, act nice but expect you to send technicians to fix their PC issue just because they turned off PSU switch.
