What is your current system? Do not intend to reuse anything? At sim lim you either tell them what you want and ask them to assemble or choose their package. Download the price list from Hwz to have better idea.

Put it simple, if any issue are you able to troubleshoot. Not to mention you need to install the OS yourself.
If you are not comfortable with DIY than get branded.
But of cuz branded specs usually are not that as good as DIY.
However if you are gaming, branded should do just fine.

You can go to either of these shops PC Themes or Dynacore at Sim Lim Square.

What's your current system specs (e.g. CPU/motherboard/RAM/video card, etc..)? What's your budget for your new system? Anything that you intend to reuse?

My system is intel chips and already 4 yrs old and it keep auto restart, so I don't think any parts can be reused. Thanks.

We can help to recommend the parts. Then you can either DIY or get the shops to assemble it for you.

There are a lot of Youtube videos that you can learn from on how to DIY a PC, it's not very difficult. You gain the satisfaction of building it and also learn how to upgrade/replace parts or troubleshoot it.

still might be able to use back your ssd/hdd, fans, internal cd rom

OS is normally tied to motherboard, unless yours is a retail copy which can be transfer to another motherboard.

Auto restart might just be dust build up or replace PSU only

Hi bored_guy,

I have recommended an AMD Ryzen build as Intel will be releasing their new generation Coffee Lake CPUs in October. And they will likely require a different socket motherboard from the current Kaby Lake CPUs. If you can wait until Oct/Nov, then you can compare the performance of Coffee Lake with Ryzen

There are 2 options for the video card, select one of them based on your usage and budget. The GTX 1060 will handle AAA title games better and allow you to game with higher details.

Prices for the suggested build as below. Shop names are in brackets. I have included the links to the parts sold in Qoo10 & Lazada.

CPU & Motherboard Bundle: Ryzen 5 1400 & Asrock AB350M @ $370 (PC Themes)
RAM: Crucial DDR4-2400MHz 8GB @ $95 (PC Themes)
SSD: PNY 120GB @ $80 (Qoo10) *
Hard Disk: Toshiba 1TB 7200RPM @ $63 (PC Themes)
Casing: Tecware F3 Elite (Red/White) @ $52 (Dynacore)
Power Supply: EVGA 500B Bronze 500W @ $78 (Lazada) **
OS: Windows 10 @ ~$10 (Carousell)

Option 1:

GPU: Palit GTX 1050 Ti Storm X 4GB GDDR5 @ $225 (Lazada)**

Option 2:

GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 AMP Edition 3GB GDDR5 @ $289 (Qoo10) *

Total Cost (Option 1): $973 (After applying Qoo10 $5 off cart coupon with min. $25 purchase - Valid until 17th Sept)

Total Cost (Option 2): $1037 (After applying Qoo10 $5 off cart coupon with min. $25 purchase & $50 off cart coupon with min. $300 purchase - Valid until 17th Sept)

* Take note that for Option 2, you will need to separate your Qoo10 purchases into 2 carts (1 for the SSD & the other for the GPU). The cart coupons are only valid until 17th Sept.

** For further discounts on Lazada, you can use their Citibank credit card promo code "OFFICIALCITI" for 8% off capped at $20, LiveUp (5% rebate) and Shopback.

Details on LiveUp and Shopback:
