Hi guys,

I've just had the misfortune of having my hard disc die on me. Got a repairman to put in a new hard drive, and reinstall windows on it.

The old hard drive is now on a portable connector. One particular folder remains inaccessible and comes up with the error "cyclic redundancy error" and I keep getting prompts to reformat it.

The repairman said I just need to reconnect the drive and it should work - clearly not working.

Am running disc check on it now.. if that fails, what else can I do?
