I recommend TS try to use this free version to check if your data still available in the hdd before going for any professional of data recovery. personally it help me to diagnose when i encountered the same missing data from HDD and the speed of recovery acceptable to me.

recently the windows 10 update for 21H1 have some issue and it auto remove my Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition (window store version) from my game drive.

I recommend for any member if you OS still stable please hold on for this update.
may i check, if i want to recover most of my external hard disk which is definitely more than 2gb. Do i purchase EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard? is 1 month sufficient? for this 1time, roughly 456gb.
Sorry this is my first time paying for data recovery.

thank you very much :)

Before you proceed, are you able to see the lost files in the external harddisk image?

Before you subscripe for the one month service, please try to recover a few files that most important and priority to you first as test run.

My advise would be If the priority file can be recover and access without issue then you might need to reconsider if other missing files are worth the subscription or you can actually download again without incurring the cost?

Also you will need to check if you have enough empty storage space for the recovery file?

Hope all can be sort out without too much hassle.

TS, should learn a lesson and do regular backup. Data recovery is a slow and tedious process. Even professional data recovery service can take 2 weeks or more to do the job.

Your data is surely not gone. And there is nothing wrong with the hard disk. It is just when you install the Windows 10, you had accidentally allow it to delete the partition.

If you are tech savvy enough, you can download either EASEUS or even DiskDrill. But you may have to pay about $100-$150 for the program.

Or you may find a reliable data recovery company that can do it for about S$180 - $250.
