I accepted it- I got ITE it systems and network; if you do higher Nitec, you get to go direct into a work study diploma without worrying about ITE GPA at all. Work study diplomas are the equivalent of poly diplomas, and you get to enter SIT or SUSS relevant degrees if you are so inclined.. No need to worry about maintaining Poly GPA from the get go- semester 1 to last in poly.

It's fully sponsored too, so its like you pay Higher Nitec course fees for a Poly diploma

of course I would prefer to go the poly route since its perceived as being more prestigious; but let's say- touch wood- we don't do so well in poly GPA, then it would be gg entering into local u..
so I wouldn't look down on the ite route if i were u (ITE course work is much easier based on tia gong). IMO, different way to reach the same goal of entering local uni.

FYI,
I'm DAE-ing into RP 1ST choice: common IT
2nd choice: IT business systems
3rd choice: Information Tech

Had my email on the 17th feb at 10pm, interviewed on the 19th feb
Was told to submit Codeacademy badges in Python as my portfolio

Maybe call/write letter to ITE to make arrangements if you want a backup in case DAE rejection?
Mechanical engineering is not that popular and vacancies will still be available after 31th March... go see the number of ITE vacancies on the JAE 2020 appeals website.
Most ITE course have vacancies even after JAE Appeal

Thanks for the detailed reply! I applied for SP too! I was ex-NP, haven't gotten any replies. :(

I applied for:
1. Applied AI and analytics
2. Common IT
3. Applied Chemistry
4. Chemical engineering

Honestly don't think I'll get any offers since these courses are really popular and the cut off points are all 12 and below. :(
